I'm David Lin. Today, we got the chance to finally use our Spanish/ Spanglish! We went out to the countryside where we set up a program with a clown (David Huang), fútbol, and fun skits.
After going door to door, it was so encouraging to see the kids' faces light up as we told them about the activities.
Even though we couldn't always understand one another, we were able to bond over cool handshakes, laughter, and some rather inappropriate jokes. These kids don't live with any of the luxuries that we take for granted, yet they found so much joy in one another. Their loving and open personalities were truly inspirational.
I'm out of caffeine and not really thinking clearly, so I'm afraid I have to end it here :( only.
